Let my heart look like your heart!

Your heart” is a song Chris Tomlin wrote for the project “Music inspired by The Story”, which is a compilation album of various Christian artists inspired by scripture – in this case, the story of David. In the refrain it says:

At the end of the day I wanna hear people say
My heart looks like Your heart.
When the world looks at me, let them agree
That my heart looks like Your heart.

Amazing Grace

I’ve recently discovered hymns again – you know, those classics that seem a bit boring at first, but are actually quite beautiful.

The most classic of all must be “Amazing Grace” by John Newton (1725–1807). It has been sung in countless versions for more than two hundred years – whether in a church or a studio, by old or young, acapella or instrumental.

But no matter what version, the message behind it stays the same:

By the grace of God I am what I am. (1 Cor. 15,10)
